THE ATHENAEUM
The Athenaeum, at the California Institute of Technology, is a prestigious private club promoting social, cultural, and intellectual interaction within its membership and the community it serves. The club provides a meeting place to stimulate friendship and the exchange of ideas among lovers of science, art, engineering and literature.
AUDIT SERVICES AND INSTITUTE COMPLIANCE
Audit Services and Institute Compliance (ASIC) proactively partners with management, faculty, and staff to ensure that the Campus, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and other Caltech operations effectively: • Identify and manage risks; • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, contract/grant provisions, and internal procedures; • Maintain financial and operational information integrity; • Establish and maintain an appropriate control environment, level of accountability, and ethical framework; and • Monitor and improve processes.
FACILITIES
Caltech Facilities provides timely and cost-effective facilities solutions and services to the Caltech Community that meet the campus' expectations for features and quality. We exist to support the faculty, staff and students in the pursuit of the Caltech Mission "to expand the human knowledge and benefit to society through research integrated with education."
FINANCIAL SERVICES
The Office of Financial Services has a fiduciary responsibility to protect the long-term interests of the Institute and to operate with the highest levels of professionalism and integrity. It encompasses Budget & Planning, Treasury Services, Procurement, Post Award Administration, and Cost Studies.
HUMAN RESOURCES
Caltech's Human Resources department has an essential and integral role at the Institute. As Caltech ambassadors it is important that we (1) understand and reflect the core mission of the Institute; (2) continually train, educate and teach ourselves and others; and (3) strive to build a healthy, resilient and engaged community.
INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS AND SERVICES
The Information Management Systems and Services (IMSS) department provides a wide range of computing support and resources for the Caltech campus, including email and calendar services, business applications, voice and data networks, information security, and digital media services.
RESEARCH ADMINISTRATION
The Research Administration organization at Caltech provides a full range of central administration services, including the offices of Export Compliance and Sponsored Research, in support of the Caltech faculty and their sponsored research programs.
